Miss Shantha Peter, daughter of Mr. Varghese Peter belonging to St. John Bosco Church, Naini received the National Youth Award on 12th October in Jalandhar during the National Youth Convention organized by ICYM.  She was privileged to receive the Certificate and the Trophy from the hands of Rt. Rev. Franko Mulakkal, the Bishop of Jalandhar Diocese. She is awarded this honour for her contribution towards the Youth Ministry and the Church since 2002. Presently, she is the Youth Vice-President of ICYM and the member of National Executive Committee of ICYM at the National level.  

The diocese of Allahabad is proud to produce the fourth National Awardee after Mr. Manish Michael from St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Allahabad who received the Best Youth Award in the year 2000, Ms. Diana D'Souza of St. Thomas Church, Kadiwainagar in 2005, and Mr. Prashobh D'Souza of Holy Rosary Church, Pratapgarh in 2007. The ICYM Allahabad, along with the priests, religious and laity of the diocese congratulates the Awardee for this great achievement and conveys the best wishes that she may continue to contribute towards the growth of our youth in the diocese, region and nation at large.
