Sr. Stella FDCC Breathes Her Last

Rev. Sr. Stella Ayamcolil, aged 61, belonging to the Canossian Daughters of Charity, Queen of Peace Province, Lucknow did not see the sun on 26th October 2014 as she went to her Father’s house, breathing her last at 3.15 am in St. Francis Convent, Pratapgarh.

Hailing originally from Peruppaloor in Kothamangalam diocese in Kerala, Sr. Stella was the eldest among the six children of the devout family of Mr. Joseph & Ms. Mariam. She was blessed with 3 brothers and 2 sisters, of whom one brother has already gone to the eternal abode. She left her home in 1973 to commit her life to the Lord. Though she had her formation in Andheri, Mumbai, yet after her first profession in 1976 she served untiringly in North India. She committed totally to the Lord during her Final Profession in Palai, Kerala, in 1983.  She spent her life as an educationist specialized in Mathematics, in Bareilly, Faizabad and Mahmudabad. The diocese of Allahabad places on record the services rendered by her in Faizabad. She had been on treatment for cancer from 2013. Having fought between life and death for the last two months, she closed her chapter of life on earth early this morning.  

The mortal remains of Sr. Stella will be buried in the Christian Cemetery, Rajapur, Allahabad after the funeral rites in St. Anthony’s Convent, Allahabad at 10.30 am on Tuesday 28th October 2014 in the presence of Most Rev. Raphy Manjaly, the Bishop of Allahabad, Rev. Sr. Elizabeth Thottumari, the Provincial of Queen of Peace Province, Lucknow, Vicar General Rev. Fr. Louis Mascarenhas, Chancellor Rev. K.K. Antony, parish priest Rev. Fr. John Louis D’Souza, many other priests, religious and laity.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul rest in peace.
