Four New Sisters for the Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth
“Accept me O Lord,” was the voice from the heart of four young virgins committed their lives to the service of God and humanity by taking the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience on 28th January 2017 in St. Mary’s Church, Muirabad in the presence of Most Rev. Raphy Manjaly, the Bishop of Allahabad and Rev. Sr. Genesia CSN, the Provincial Superior of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth.
Sisters Diana, Vinisha (both from Kerala) Angela and Merry (both from Assam) belong to the Allahabad Province of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth.
In a touching and meaningful ceremony, the brides along with their parents and CSN sisters, priests and bishop moved in procession to the altar. The parents blessed them before they stepped forward to commit totally for the Lord. The bishop then blessed them, blessed their new attire and handed over the new attire, Bible, the Constitution of the Congregation and the Lighted lamp symbolising that they need to burn always serving the least and the lost in the society.
At the end Sr. Angela thanked everyone for making the day memorable and beautiful for them. A short programme was organized after the mass in the CSN Provincialate where the ‘Brides’ cut the cake and felicitations were offered to them.
We congratulate Srs. Angela, Diana, Merry and Vinisha, and wish them happy and a fulfilling religious life.
