Two New Faces in CJ
“Lord, I heard you calling me… I come to answer your call…” declared Sr. Tara CJ and Sr. Sheryl CJ, the newly professed nuns in the Congregation of Jesus (CJ), who after three years of intensive formation, committed their lives to the service of God and humanity by taking the three vows of poverty, chastity and obedience on 2nd February 2013 in the chapel of St. Mary’s Convent, 21 Thornhill Road, Allahabad in the presence of the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Allahabad Most Reverend Ignatius Menezes, Bishop Emeritus of Ajmer and Reverend Sr. Sumita Pinto the Provincial.
Sisters Tara and Sheryl hailing from Uttarakhand and Kerala respectively belong to the Allahabad Province of the Congregation of Jesus. They have had their first year of formation, called Postulancy, in the Provincial house of Allahabad and the next stage of formation, called the Novitiate, in St. Joseph’s Novitiate House in Patna.
At the end Sr. Tara thanked everyone for making the day memorable and beautiful for them. A short programme was organized after the mass in the dining hall where the ‘Brides’ cut the cake and felicitations were offered to them.
We congratulate Sr. Tara and Sr. Sheryl and wish them happy and a fulfilling religious life.
