Surabhi Celebrated in Murdhwa
Khrist Jyoti High School, Murdhwa, Renukoot celebrated their annual function ‘SURABHI’ on
3rd March 2013 where about 2000 people of the vicinity were present to witness the mega
extravaganza. Rev. Fr. Eugene Mascarenhas, the dean of the Sonbhadra Zone was the Chief
Guest and Mr. K.N. Pandey, General Manager, High Tec Carbon Plant, Renukoot, was the guest
of honour.
“Surabhi” a play on the life of a girl child in the present scenario left a number of
audiences in tears, to see the fate of a girl child. The various dances too gave a very
meaningful message to the audience.
In their message, the chief guest and the guest honour made a point how a small primary
school, now has become a big educational institution. They appreciated the contribution of
Fr. Raymond, the Manager of the school, Sr. Rita, the Principal and the hardworking
teachers. They urged the parents to cooperate with the school authority for the integral
growth of their ward.
Earlier on 16th Feb 2013, the Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Ignatius Menezes had Blessed
and inaugurated the new block with seven classrooms. The cultural program scheduled for the
day could not be held due to heavy rainfall.
