Johnfest Celebrated in SJIC Fatehpur
‘You must shine and guide the nation to a greater progress,” said Most Rev. Ignatius Menezes, the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Allahabad addressing the august gathering at St. John’s Inter College, Fatehpur during the Annual Concert – Johnfest 2013 on 2nd March 2013.
Johnfest, the cultural programme was a blend of dances, music, drama, enactments, songs and miming. Each and every programme left the audience with a message to carry home.
Rev. Fr. Louis Mascarenhas, principal St. Joseph’s College, Allahabad appreciated the quality of the programs and the discipline with which they were presented. He applauded the hard work of the staff and students. He invited the people to use the powers that God has given to us and to become healers in the society.
The Administrator Bishop commended the quality of the program and applauded the efforts put in by the Manager Rev. Fr. Vipin D’Souza, principal Sr. Martha CJ, the Sisters, the staff and students. He called the parents and the children to shine and rise the build an unjust society.
Honourable Mrs. Kanchan Verma IAS, District Magistrate of Fatehpur appreciating the programme said that only the well disciplined and well administrated schools can perform such quality programs. She also said that she was privileged to be invited to witness such an amazing and scintillating programs.
The theme of patriotism was flowing in all the items of program. The children taught a lesson of being patriotic, respectable to parents, environment friendly, healers of society, etc. One could easily observe how the young minds were formed to acquire such values. The speciality of the program was that the children themselves anchored and conducted the entire program without any flaw or delay.
The program came to an end with the call to respect the diverse culture of the nation through the Unity Dance which enthralled every one present there.
