Sr. Loyola Rests in Peace

Rev. Sr. Loyola, aged 78, belonging to the Congregation of Missionaries of Charity, Lucknow Region went to her heavenly abode at 9.00 pm on 7th February 2013 in Snehalaya Convent, Chandari, Kanpur.
Born in the family of Mr. Patrus Ekka and Mrs. Josephine Ekka in 1935, Sr. Celestia originally belonged to Jharkhand from where she followed Christ and made her first profession in 1960. She was the 5th among the six children born to the Ekka family. She made her final commitment in 1966. 
Sr. Loyola was involved in the family apostolate, catechetical work, school work, visiting the leprosy patients and in the prayer ministry in various parts of North India. She came to the diocese of Allahabad in 2012 where she breathed her last on 7th February 2013. 
The mortal remains of Sr. Loyola will be buried in the Christian Cemetery, Laalkurti, Kanpur after the funeral services in Snehalaya, Chandari at 3.00 pm on 8th February 2013 in the presence of their Regional Superior Sr. Anthea MC, the parish priest Rev. Fr. Sunil Noronha, many other priests, religious and laity.
