St. Francis Senior Secondary School, Anpara, celebrated its annual school concert “Shalom 2013” on Sunday, 27th January 2013 and felicitated Most Rev. Isidore Fernandes, Bishop of the Catholic diocese of Allahabad, on the occasion of his Episcopal Silver Jubilee. Engineer Murlidhar Bhagchandani, Chief General Manager of UPRVUNL, Anpara, was the Chief Guest while Most Rev. Isidore Fernandes presided over the function.

The programme began with the special opening ceremony on “Shalom 2013”, where the students depicted the scene of St. Francis of Assisi working for world peace. The main attractions of the programme were: little stars on earth, books do speak, an ode to India, Mother’s love, Arabian nights, Yuge Yuge Sambhavami – Hindi skit & Ramapeer – a Rajastani dance. During the programme Bishop Isidore felicitated Mr. Jose KC & Mrs. Philomina Jose, for completing 25 years of service in the school. Fr. Jacob Bona felicitated the Bishop with a shawl & a silver memento. The president of the programme congratulated the management for organizing such a beautiful programme. In the concluding ceremony, the students invited each and every member present, to be the messengers of peace in the society, in the country and in the world at large.
