A Brief History:
St. Joseph's Convent High School, Robertsganj is a Christian Institution established and administered by the religious Congregation of the Ursulines of Mary Immaculate, founded by Mother Brigida of Jesus in 1649. School was started in 1964.
The school aims at education of the catholic community around and extends its service to members of other communities to the extent possible. The school stands for academic excellence, development of skills and character formation, based on love of God and service of the people as modeled in Jesus Christ with a view to train citizens of remarkable all-around development and sincere commitment to God and country.
St. Joseph’s School has grown into a full fledge high school through the thick and thin of uncertainties. The shutting down of number of cement factories in this area affected the student population. Till 1998 sisters were undecided about making it into a high school. Trusting in God and believing In His providential care sisters went ahead and got NOC from CBSE and the first batch of class X students passed out in 2000. From then on there was no turning back. Today the school has a strength of around 2000 students and 50 staff members.
