A Brief History : Mariampur School of Nursing, Mariampur Hospital was started in the year 2003. After the inspection from INC (Indian Nursing Council) and the UPSMF (Uttar Pradesh State Medical faculty) they got the permission to take an annual intake of 30 students. At present they have the permission to take 40 students
The students and the in-charge sisters are staying in Maria Bhawan. The first principal was Sr. Helen UMI who remained in position till 2011 June.
Sr. Ancy Alex UMI was the vice-Principal till 2008 June. Then Sr. Maria Philip took up the vice-Principal’s place till July 2010. When Sr. Helen left the place Sr. Ancy Alex was appointed as the new Principal.
Sr. Ancy Mathew was the Superior of the house from 2004 to 2010. She was transferred to Mariampur Hospital in 2012. Since then Sr. Therese Jose is the superior of the house.
At present the members of this school of nursing are Sr. Therese Jose, Sr. Kathleen - the warden, and Sr. Ancy Alex the Principal. Sr. Sindhu is the UMI nursing student.
